"LAST STAND" was an Epic Mega Jam 2023 submission, however, it missed the deadline by a few minutes due to a recording upload issue. The project was created in one week with a small team of 4 and we had a goal of creating the majority of the assets ourselves, not including audio as none of us had enough experience in this field.

Round-based survival games inspired Last Stand's gameplay loop with rogue-like elements. The player is required to fight their way through increasing amounts of enemy waves, earning points that can be used to open more areas of the map. Every five rounds, a shield generator that protects the castle exterior will fail, requiring the player to recharge it before the time runs out. Failing to charge the generator will reduce the shield health and result in a defeat if reduced to 0. However, upon completing a generator, the player will be rewarded with a choice of 3 upgrades, a health increase, a damage increase or a random pick of 4 different abilities. The game ends with either the player dying or the castle shield health reaching 0.
